DESIGNER CENTRAL: Mara Hoffman

Mara Hoffman is a New York fashion designer whose line, Mara Hoffman, launched in 2000. She studied fashion design and graduated from the infamous design school Parsons School of Design in New York City and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. 

Hoffman caught our attention with her drapy ethnic print signature-look. We love EVERY PIECE of her collection - in fact when we look up all her past collection, we fell even more in love with her and her consistency. She's bringing back the bohemian silhouette and she's doing a good job at it. She pulls her attention from nature, world travel and fantasy and sure enough as we check out her website (http://www.marahoffman.com/) pictures of her travels and some weird galaxy space background pop-up and you can't help but secretly wonder - is Hoffman some gifted space creature sent to earth to make clothes for mankind? Her latest collection (which pictures are shown here) is called "From Sacred Mother to Warrior" and like we said we couldn't help but wonder if Hoffman is living in some fantasy alien world. If yes, we would like to tap into it too.

Well, one thing we know for sure - Hoffman left us intrigued and wanting more of her inspiring work and we look forward to see what her fantasy brings us next.

EVENT: Dylan & Rose pop-up show at Georgia Salon Boutique

So a while ago, Sara and I went to the Dylan & Rose Spring 2011 collection pop-up show at Georgia Boutique & Salon at East Houston. The salon boutique has a quirky deco that boasts huge chandeliers and whimsical  victorian mirrors. Best of all, this place smells heavenly.

They sell anything from hair products, body lotion to sexy lingerie. And everywhere we look, there is some hidden treasure around the corner.

We highly recommend their body products - they smell so good that we just wanna scoff them down our throat. Absolutely yummy, and they use all natural ingredients too. Find out more here.

Gisele Bundchen in Ungaro

We saw a picture of Gisele Bundchen attending the Robin Hood Foundation's annual benefit in New York wearing a sparkly Ungaro cocktail dress with a sheer lace panel, paired with high black heels. She carried a black shrug and a small clutch.

And we're totally smitten with this dress. So we decided to check out the designer's collection and we absolutely loved it. And we totally understand why models exist, they make the clothes look so darn good. Happy Monday!! *throws confetti into the air
