I was at Bedford the other day with a friend and decided to give The Junk a shot. The junk has two williamsburg locations - 197 N9th St & 567 Driggs Ave. This second hand store that sells everything from old furniture, vintage clothes, antique household decoratives and readable non-collectable books. Seeing the huge warehouse full of old-looking Victorian room decoratives, I can't help being slightly overjoyed that there may be a chance in finding an old antique Singer sewing machine.
This place did not disappoint - you can find literally find anything vintage here from 70's tulip chair, big old victorian mirrors, cheap car toys, old country radios and creepy looking table statues. I have to say that while some things are over-priced, others are worth it (saw a row of $10 chairs right outside the warehouse and it's in mint condition). It really boils down to what you're looking for. Will I come back here again? Probably not. Unless I have something in mind that I want.

Saw the one and only sewing machine. Due to its bad condition with tape on its body, i'd decided not to take it. |
